ALBA ITALIAN LANGUAGE PROGRAM
What is ALBA?

ALBA is an Italian Language and cultural educational program delivered through a partnership with the Resource Center Italiano LLC, GateWay and South Mountain Community Colleges and the Maricopa Community College Foundation. The goals of the ALBA Program are to develop Italian language skills and increase ALBA awareness and appreciation of Italian culture among preschool and elementary school children and their parents, high school and college students and other area residents.

La Cucina Contadina:
benefiting Hunger 101

Hunger 101 is a flexible curriculum that offers a broad-range of multi-session curriculum programs, stand-alone interactive sessions and diverse small group activities that explore the issues of hunger and poverty. Hunger 101 is designed to open people’s eyes by sharing information, activities and ideas with children teens and adults of all ages. The curriculum defines and increases awareness of food insecurity. hunger, and poverty while addressing the causes and consequences of these serious issues.

Monthly Conversation Groups

The Italian conversation gatherings are held at Barnes & Noble (101 and Shea) on the 2nd Tuesday of the month year-round and at Borders (Biltmore at 24th Street and Camelback) on the 4th Thursday of the month EXCEPT November and December. Make new friends while
speaking Italian and sharpening your skills. Topics vary…register on line to be notified of current topic.

NAU Newman Center Social Justice Program:

Holy Trinity Catholic Newman Center in Flagstaff currently serves the local academic community. RCI supports the program’s efforts to bring a higher awareness of social justice issues that are impacting our environment and citizens, such as hunger and cultural diversity,
